Our Establishment

The Best Tea House Co. Ltd. was established in 1988 to promote the art of tea making and is unique in this regard. Our key objective is to promote high quality tea to the young generation in order to introduce them the culture of Chinese Teas and thereby help promote a healthy diet .

Tea drinking is an important part of Chinese culture, which has been a habit in our daily life for many centuries. Tea is refreshing and well recognized for its health benefits. For those who only care for the quantity, but not the quality, we refer to this as “Bull Drinking”. In fact, most people these days are “Bull” tea drinkers. The art of tea preparation needs to be taught and tea ceremony learnt if the best results are to be attained.

Since 1988

The Best Tea House was established in 1988 to promote the art of tea making and is unique in this regard. Our key objective is to promote high quality tea to the young generation in order to introduce them the culture of Chinese Teas and thereby help promote a healthy diet. We also organize tea-brewing classes to teach the young generation the best techniques for making quality tea.

The Best Tea House has always been actively involved in public exhibitions and promotions. We are the pioneers of the free tea tasting service concept. To satisfy the needs of tea lovers, we search for the best quality teas, new or aged, and stock a marvelous collection of tea ware. We also introduced video based training to help our customers develop their skills at home. For the new millennium, we have founded the largest Tea Exhibition Center and Tea Ceremony Activity Room. These will provide tea lovers with a comfortable and pleasant gathering point in which to enjoy tea.

The Best Tea House hopes by providing these services to elevate public knowledge of this important part of Chinese culture. Therefore, in the future we can all share and enjoy this unique pleasure.

Introduction of Mr. Chan Kwok Yee

Mr. Chan Kwok Yee, is one of the famous tea specialists in Hong Kong, he dedicate more than 20 years in studying of different kind of tea. Mr Chan is a Chinese tea mania, he used his own money to open his first teahouse in 1988 “The Best Tea House” ( 茶藝樂園 ). Beside Mr Chan also the pioneer among the tea trader, he organized the first tea course in 1991, and now his students are more than 3,000 people all over the world including Toronto, Vancouver, Japan and United Kingdom.

The winner, the first-runner-up, and the second-runner-up of the “Hong Kong Tea Brewing Competition 1997” were all achieved by Mr Chan’s student. Mr Chan has been the speaker in “Radio Hong Kong” and now he is the Chinese Tea consultant of “Hong Kong Federation of Women”.

Mr Chan recently appointed by “Peninsula Hotel Hong Kong” as tutor. He has been also invited by many organizations for public demonstration, such as University of Hong Kong, Chinese University, Baptist University, Lions Club, Rotary Club. In 1998, Mr Chan was invited by his good friend to participate as a speaker as well as Tea Demonstration in “Nikko Hotel” in Tokyo.
